DI State - Hermantown

Hermantown bounced back after Saturday's loss with a thrilling 12-11 win over Hopkins in the 10am game.  In the 4pm game Hermantown rallied with 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th but came up one run short as they lost to Lino Lakes 8-7.

Hermantown finishes 4th in the state out of a field of 16.  Congrats to the team on a fine showing at state.

DI State

Hermantown dropped a heartbreaker to Sauk Rapids, 14-11, with a diving catch to end a late rally.  Hermantown will face Hopkins at 10am Sunday.

DII Championship

Eden Valley - Watkins 15 Ely 3 (5 innings)

EV-W is the state DII legion champs.  Both teams will compete at the Central Plains DII Regional on Thursday, 8/4/11.

EV-W will play at 2pm
Ely will play at 5pm

Championship Game to start at approximately 245pm

Now that district play is over I will be up at Ely helping out with the DII tournament.  Here is the schedule for Thursday 7/28:

5:00 p.m. - Luverne vs Hawley
7:45 p.m.- Ely vs. Kenyon
